With respect to the Polkadot ecosystem, Circle Mint only allows external sends to Polkadot Asset Hub wallet addresses. If you initiate a send of USDC to a Polkadot Relay Chain wallet address, Circle will instead submit the transfer to a Polkadot Asset Hub wallet address.
Depending on which external wallet or app you are using, you may still be able to access your funds, as Polkadot Asset Hub and Polkadot Relay Chain utilize the same wallet address and are controlled by the same private key.
However, this could be problematic if you send funds to a centralized exchange that has only built support for the Polkadot Relay Chain and not Polkadot Asset Hub. In that scenario, you would not be able to access your funds.
For this reason, it is important to only initiate sends of USDC to Polkadot Asset Hub wallet addresses from Circle Mint.
